Winter Social Series Off to a Great Start
Our first Winter Series session on Upwind Sail Trim was a fantastic evening, expertly presented by Michael Broise.
A great crowd turned out, bringing plenty of questions (and an appetite for the party pies!) as Michael walked us through the fundamentals of fast upwind sailing. The discussion was lively, with members comparing how these principles apply across different classes and rigs. A live sail trim simulator brought the theory to life, demonstrating how each control line influences sail shape and ultimately boat performance.

Balancing sail trim with steering input
